Hello Vish,
Yes, your point of view is also valid. I know only of a few successes like that.

LC,
I am not sure its a gender thing.. a divorcee any sex does create anxieties in minds of parents..and perhaps for valid reasons.. I know atleast three second marriages that have failed..ofcourse there maybe thirty which have succeeded, but as a parent one is more objective (than the child who has made the choice)and therefore slightly cynical about such choices..

Hello Vish,
Thank you for that information :-) I was not aware about Kumble's example. Humble Kumble! Yes, divorced daughter-in-law is stlill considered a stigma and needs an open mind and heart, compared to divorced son-in-law.

LC,
Anil Kumble our cricket captain is one example..
But I was talking more about practical realities of living.. a mother confronted with the prospect of getting a divorced daughter in law with child, even when she has known her from her childhood.. I am sure she agonised

Hello Vish,
You are a thoughtful person. Yes, that part may seem unbelievable, but I know a couple like that, age difference too being large.
